An Appreciation of Her Life

Our Mum (Mumma, Nanna), aged 94, was called to her rest on January 17, 2022. Due to prevailing restrictions on gatherings, a private committal service, attended by family, was held on January 25. Family and friends gathered again at the Indooroopilly Uniting Church on Thursday, June 23, for a memorial service honouring Corinne, a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Tributes included an eulogy from her son, Russell, who chronicled a life lived to the fullest. Corinne's daughter, Vanessa, and granddaughter Elyse paid tribute with their memories, while a stirring video message from grandson Daniel, who lives in Ottawa with his wife Maria and daughter Clare, was a touching moment for the congregation. Another grandson, Jacob, also spoke about his close bond with Nanna, and scripture readings were delivered by Rohan Loos (grandson) and Terence (son).

On June 7, Corinne's ashes were placed next to that of her late husband, Emile, with whom she had shared 65 wonderful years together. Nanna and Pa, lovingly remembered and forever missed by her children, Terence, Russell, Hillary and Vanessa and their spouses, Julie, Colleen, Judy, and Lawrence; eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Timothy, Tristan, Daniel, Jacob, Robert, Rohan and Elyse, and nine great-grandchildren, Audrey, Beatrice, Josephine, Jack, Harry, Tahlia, Ruby, Rio and Clare.
